HOW TO GET THERE:✈️🚌 ➡️If you are from Manila or other parts of the Philippines, you need to fly to Laguindingan International Airport which is near Cagayan de Oro City. ➡️From the airport, ride a bus or van bound for Cagayan de Oro. Then take a taxi or jeepney going to Agora Bus terminal. ➡️From Agora Bus terminal, ride the Davao or Malaybalay bound bus and tell the ticket officer that you want to be dropped off at Impasug-ong/ Impalutao Elementary School. ➡️Then hire a Motorcycle(Habal-habal) that would take you to Ant Farm which is the jump-off point.
TRAVEL TIPS:💡📝 ➡️Contact Sir Bob 09978013135 from Ant Farm if you want someone to organize your hike. ➡️For a day trip, call time at Ant Farm is 3 AM for you to catch the sunrise ➡️Other hikers prefer to stay overnight at the summit ➡️Make sure to contact Ant Farm day before your trip. ➡️Entrance fee/Guide fee is P300 per person ➡️Bring enough food and water. ➡️Be responsible for your trash. ➡️There are no comfort rooms at the ridge ➡️A few meters before reaching Panimahawa Ridge, you are asked to leave a one Philippine peso coin in a bowl beside a tree, few steps left on the road. It’s a ritual they require for those who visit the mountain ridge.
SIDE TRIP:🚌 ➡️Visit CEDAR which is 10mins away from Ant Farm by motorcycle after your climb and cool down in a very refreshing cold pool spring. The entrance is P20/pax.
